RECENT GRANTS
Borough Manager, Gene Goldfeder, is pleased to report that the Borough has recently received the following grants:
$292,261 from the Transportation Alternatives Program Grant Program for sidewalk, lighting, street furniture and signage on Front St. from Pine to Church.
$14,652 from the State Fire Commissioners Office for replacement
our fire attack hose - thanks to the efforts of our Fire Chief, Rich Hertzog.
$70,000 from the Lehigh County CDBG Program to develop a parking lot at Font and Willow St.
$70,000 from the State Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources for equipment and upgrades at the St. John Street park
$15,000 from the Trexler Trust for a walkway and viewing floor at the George Taylor House.
$35,000 from the Keystone Historic Preservation Program to restore windows at the George Taylor House.
The Borough Manager is the principal grant writer for the Borough. He and other department heads are always researching sources of funding for various projects. These efforts allow us to do more than we could with tax dollars only.
