UPDATE – Walnut Street/St. John Street Project
Reaching out to share schedule information for the work on Walnut St / St John St and also provide contact information.
Regarding schedule, below is a quick overview of what we expect:
- 10/3: we will have our survey crew completing stakeout in the intersection today along with our supervisors onsite looking at the area to game-plan for Monday. We will also be hauling stone in today to be placed in the off-road easement to stock for next week.
- Monday 10/6: we will start our larger operation with the road being closed, detour initiated, deliveries, fence install, bypass pump setup, vac truck work, etc. Begin excavation for tie in if time permits.
- Tuesday 10/7 – Monday 10/13: tie in and new pipe installation. We may be looking at working Saturday 10/11- that is TBD.
- 10/14-10/17: Curb install, sidewalk install, clean up, trench restoration, vacate the road. We would use Saturday 10/18 if needed to complete these items.
- 10/20: continue work in the off-road easement moving toward the project site.
- 10/21: Sanitary flush & video. This should be relatively noninvasive. There will be some traffic control but in general the road will be open such that the Borough can prep for the parade and buses/school traffic can flow. We should be able to do this between 9am and 3pm to minimize disruption.
